John William Ferrell is an American producer, writer, and most known for funny comedy acting. His first-time appearance was in the 90s as an NBC sketch comedy show Saturday Night Live’s cast member.

Ferrell has subsequently set foot in many comedy films including Elf (2003), Kicking & Screaming (2005), Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby (2006), Semi-Pro (2008), and Land of the Lost (2009). He and his writer Adam Mckay launched a comedy website in 2007 called Funny or Die. In the second decade of the 21st-century, he also participates in other remarkable comedy films. Such as Curious George (2006) and Megamind (2010), animated films. The Other Guys (2010), The Campaign (2012), Get Hard (2015), Holmes & Watson (2018).

William Ferrell is one of the first flags of the “Frat Pack” a group leading Hollywood comedian, who get famous in the late 90s and early 2000s. This generation must embrace Vince Vaughn, brothers Owen, Luke Wilson, Jack Black, Ben Stiller, and Steve Carell.

British GQ Men of the Year awards also mention him as the best comedian of 2015. On March 24, 2015, he earned his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
