Get ready to take your bird watching skills to the next level with this spacious birding journal for beginner and advanced birders alike. In this journal, you’ll find…
…these 3 Main Sections:
- Life List: List new species as you see them, with space for species name, date and location
- Checklist: Gives each bird 8 columns, so you can divide each sighting of a bird up by location, year, season, who saw it, and more.
- Detailed Species Listing: Here you get to write all of the details about what you saw and heard, with plenty of space for both notes and sketches/photos (1 page per bird).
The Detailed Species Listing is pre-illustrated with beautiful colored pictures of North America’s 20 most common birds.
Here are the 4 main features that set this journal apart from other bird watching journals:
- All 3 of the above sections cross-reference one another by bird number and page number. This allows you to easily locate every mention of the same bird within the journal, which makes for easy navigation and hence saves you time.
- The Checklist section has header columns, so you know which column is for what. At the time of writing, no other birding journal has this.
- The Life List has spaces for date and location. OK, we’ll admit, ours isn’t the only journal that has this particular feature, but it’s surprisingly rare in birding journals.
- There are plenty of bird identification books with bird pictures in them, but at the time of writing, this is the only bird watching journal with pictures of birds in it.
Here are some other features of this journal:
- 148 total pages for 120 bird entries
- Size: 6” x 9” (around 15 x 23 cm — small, easily fits into your bird watching bag with your binoculars and Bird ID book
- Colored interior
- 4x blank lined notes pages at the back
- Premium white paper
- Soft matt cover
Unlike other birding journals, which have the Life List at the back as an afterthought, this journal is more like a Life List with details. It’s got the Life List at the front, followed by checklist columns, then pages for further details. And it’s all designed and connected in a way that makes it easy to navigate.
So pick up a copy of this birding journal now, and start recording all the details of those new and exciting species, as and when you see them.
